Whistlebowing Solutions
Our legal team, in collaboration with Deloitte Belastingconsulenten BV/SRL and the Deloitte Legal Global network, provides tailored advice on EU Whistleblowing Directive compliance.
The EU Whistleblowing Directive establishes minimum standards for protecting whistleblowers against retaliation and mandates the establishment of internal reporting channels at the company level. In Belgium, any legal entity with 50 or more employees must establish such a channel.
Thanks to our privileged and multidisciplinary cost-sharing agreement with Deloitte Belastingconsulenten BV/SRL and by being a member of the Deloitte Legal Global network, our dedicated team of highly qualified lawyers is uniquely positioned to advise clients with all implications of the Whistleblower Directive.
How we can help:
By working with us, clients can access the necessary tools and structure to comply with their new obligations and conduct the required investigations to mitigate the risk of financial and reputational harm. Leveraging our global network, we can tailor whistleblowing frameworks to country-specific requirements and manage cross-border reports effectively.
- Policy drafting to establish a compliant whistleblowing scheme.
- Handling of the reports (timely confirmations of receipt/feedback).
- Handling of investigations following a report, advised by Deloitte Forensic consultants where needed.
- Analysing and executing appropriate actions following the investigation.
- Filing claims on behalf of the company.
- Legal representation before court.
