Jan Roggen: Head of Legal Managed Services (LMS) and Legal Management Consulting (LMC) practice
With 20 + years of experience working as an in-house lawyer for the Belgian Government and as an attorney in private practice, Jan became increasingly interested and focused on innovation and change-processes within law firms and in the legal sector in general. These are the “new law” developments - Legal operations, technology and staffing - which are his main focus at Deloitte Legal.
In addition to his Law degree, Jan holds a Master’s degree in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and obtained additional certificates in Legal Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Design Sprint Facilitation and Social Impact.
Christoph Michiels: Sponsoring partner of LMS and LMC
Next to his over 20 years of experience in corporate transactional, advisory and restructuring work, Christoph Michiels leads the scale-up and investor initiatives within Deloitte Legal and is the partner in charge of Innovation. Over the past few years, he has become a strong believer in the digital transformation of the legal profession and is eager to share his experience with clients and build partnerships with legal tech providers with a view to contribute in future proofing the legal profession.
He is also in charge of the corporate compliance practice of Deloitte Legal which focuses on recurrent corporate secretarial work such as approval of annual accounts, replacement of directors, branch structures, etc. As such, he leads the legal entity management practice in Belgium and is in charge of the global roll-out of myInsight Entity Management (ELEMENT), a cloud-based solution developed by Deloitte Legal for automated legal entity management.
Filip Van Acoleyen : Team lead of legal entity management tool Element
Filip is a Senior manager in Deloitte's Legal entity management practice and is responsible for the delivery and development of the Legal entity management offering. As product owner of Element, he implements tech strategies and promotes go2market efforts.
He has a general focus on legal technology innovation.
