Matthias Vierstraete

Matthias is a Partner and leads IP, IT and Data Law team.

He has been assisting clients in relation to intellectual property rights, ICT-law and data related matters for more than 15 years. He is often consulted in the context of digital transformation projects related to cloud computing, ERP implementation, software development, personal and non-personal data processing, connected devices (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and the broader EU Digital Regulatory framework. Matthias assists clients in complex multi-party collaborations (including R&D and joint-development projects, IP license and assignment agreements) and in transactions (due diligence). He represents clients in court or before regulatory bodies (e.g. Data Protection Authority). Clients are both private companies as well as public bodies.
